Energy Industry Veteran Louis J. Hutchinson, III Joins WGL as Chief Revenue Officer

WGL Holdings, Inc. announced that Dr. Louis J. Hutchinson, III has joined the company as its Chief Revenue Officer. The newly created executive position will lead all branding, revenue generation and customer retention efforts for WGL and its subsidiaries. Hutchinson brings more than 20 years in marketing and sales leadership positions in the technology and energy industries.

“As a way to optimize our business, maximize the revenue generation function and drive recognition for the clean and efficient energy solutions WGL delivers, we have created a leadership position responsible for turning our vision into a long-term, sustainable growth strategy,” said Terry D. McCallister, Chairman and CEO of WGL. “Lou brings a proven track record of multiplying revenue and is ideally suited for this pivotal role.”Hutchinson will lead all enterprise-wide revenue initiatives, including the implementation of WGL’s brand strategy and oversight of its deployment across all associated business functions consistent with applicable laws and regulations. Hutchinson will assume responsibility for positioning WGL in target markets to drive growth and achieve earnings objectives. This includes implementing business development initiatives that demonstrate the value WGL delivers to its customers, shareholders and stakeholders.

Prior to joining WGL, Hutchinson served as senior vice president at Constellation Energy, overseeing the organization’s public sector and energy efficiency practice where he was responsible for driving exponential revenue growth over five years. Hutchinson serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Statistics from the George Washington University; and a Doctorate in Theological Studies and a Masters of Divinity Degree, both from Wesley Theological Seminary.
