Vivian R. Pickard

President, General Motors Foundation & Director, Corporate Relations, General Motors Company

Ms. Pickard is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to strengthen communities across the United States through partnerships and investments in the areas of education, health and human services, environment and energy, and community development. Over the past decade, the foundation has donated more than $350 million to send students to college, keep teen drivers safe, educate parents on child passenger safety, promote diversity, and support vital non-profit organizations.

Pickard currently serves on the board for the Washington, D.C. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, Inforum, Friends of African and African American Art (Detroit Institute of Arts). In addition, she serves as a member of The Executive Leadership Council, and is on the Executive Committee for The Links, Inc.

She is a lifetime member of the NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women, the National Black MBA Association, and Leadership Detroit.

Pickard earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University and a Master of Science from Central Michigan University.
