Ross stated on her blog that, “I know I’m not really a doctor now but I won’t belittle a moment like this. It was moving and exciting weekend!” Ross graduated from Brown University in 1994 with a theatre degree. Since then she has climbed to new heights in her acting career, and has won NAACP Image awards to BET Comedy Awards.

Tracee Ellis Ross is noted to be humbled and excited to receive such honor from her esteemed alma mater. Ross is now the shining star and breaking stereotypes about Black women through her leading role as Dr. Rainbow Johnson, on ABC’s Black-ish.
