Tamara Franklin

Senior Vice President, Affiliate Operations & New Media Distribution, Scripps Networks Interactive

Ms. Franklin oversees the development of business models and business plans relating to evolving and new business opportunities. She works with Scripps’ national accounts team and affiliates to identify and develop new distribution technologies and revenue streams for linear content. Franklin also leads the company’s affiliate strategy and business development.

Franklin joined Scripps Networks Interactive in March 2009 from Turner Broadcasting Systems, where she served as vice president of business development, responsible for non-linear distribution deals with a focus on wireless distribution platforms. Prior to TBS, she served as director of new business development and strategic marketing for Motorola.

Franklin is a graduate of NAMIC’s Executive Leadership Development Program (2007-08) and the WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (Class XXIII). She’s been named one of CableFAX’s Top 75 “Most Influential Minorities in Cable” for 2010 and 2011, and honored in 2011 as a NAMIC Luminary.

Franklin earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University and MBA from Harvard University.
