Ms. Kirk has accountability for leading the company’s philanthropic strategy by leveraging Verizon’s technology, financial resources, employees and partnerships to improve social issues. The Foundation specifically focuses its efforts on using technology to address disparities in education, health care and sustainability.
Rose brings more than 25 years of telecommunications experience to this position, having served in senior leadership roles in public affairs, sales operations, employee communications, sales and customer service, marketing, product development, strategy, advertising, and executive speechwriting.

Kirk is Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, a member of the national service organization, Jack and Jill of America, and a board member of the Communications Department Advisory Board of Arkansas State University. Also, she is a member of the Conference Board Contributions Council, and the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy and the board of directors of Dress for Success Worldwide.

Kirk holds a B.S. degree in Journalism from Arkansas State University and is completing a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Washington University.
