Playtex Gentle Glide is excited to announce the launch of the Playtex Play On Playbook campaign, a social media program celebrating confident women who laugh off life’s curveballs and persevere with grace.
Women experience Play On moments every day, whether they are bouncing back from embarrassing stumbles, or not letting their periods stop them from having a great time.
Playtex Gentle Glide has enlisted Grammy award winning artist, actress and television personality Michelle Williams, a woman who embodies confidence and resilience, as the campaign’s official spokesperson. Williams will reveal her personal Play On moments on the Playtex Facebook page, and invite women to share how they navigate through wardrobe malfunctions, face plants, bad dates and other little challenges.
In her role as the Playtex Play On spokesperson, Williams will encourage women not to let life’s unexpected and uncomfortable moments hold them back. Williams will reveal how she recovered from challenging stumbles from her life and career on PlaytexPlay On Playbook, and ask women to share their own strategies for getting through similar blunders. By participating in thePlaytex Play On Playbook on Facebook, women can win a special VIP experience with Williams and other rewards.
“I know from experience that the best way to make it through life’s hiccups is to keep your head up, shrug it off and move on,” said Williams. “I’m excited to team up with Playtex Gentle Glide to share my strategies for overcoming life’s little stumbling blocks and encourage women everywhere to embrace their own Play On moments.”
Williams rose to stardom as a member of one of the top-selling female groups of all time, Destiny’s Child, with honors including a Grammy Award and star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and has gone on to establish herself as a successful soloist, accomplished actress and television figure. As a global performer, she overcomes many Play On moments but has always picked herself right back up and kept going. Since Destiny’s Child’s disbandment in 2005, Williams has earned several accolades for her solo work, including multiple star turns worldwide in four acclaimed musicals. Williams has starred on Broadway in the title role of Aida, on national tours in The Color Purple and Fela!, and on Broadway and London’s West End inChicago. Her fourth solo studio album Journey to Freedom is scheduled to release later in 2014.
