TBWA\Chiat\Day New York announced that Nancy Reyes has been elevated to President, a new position for the agency. Reyes was previously Managing Director, a role she assumed when she joined the agency in 2016. As President, Reyes will assume more responsibility for the day-to-day operations in New York and will remain the principal liaison across the agency’s roster of clients.

She will continue to report to agency CEO Rob Schwartz, who in turn will continue to oversee the New York group and focus attention on further diversifying TBWA offerings in New York, including a new design company, a strategic consultancy, an advanced social listening practice and TBWA’s data and SEO performance marketing agency Engage.

“Nancy has done a masterful job of strengthening the agency and guiding us on our current growth path, which includes adding new business from Nissan, TD Bank, Hilton and the Mayo Clinic over the last 24 months,” said Schwartz. “Nancy is the perfect balance of IQ and EQ, and one of the most inspiring and compassionate leaders in our industry today. We are lucky to have her, and look forward to continued success under her leadership.”

In addition to an exceptional track record of new business, Reyes has also been instrumental in reshaping the leadership of the New York office, helping to attract the talent and create the conditions for disruptive work to flourish. She has also spearheaded a new mentorship and leadership program at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York called Circle of Women, aimed at building a healthy pipeline of female leaders within the agency.

“Nancy cares about the work as much as any creative in the building, and I can’t imagine a better partner in shaping Chiat New York,” said Chris Beresford-Hill, Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Chiat\Day New York. “She leads by example and inspires me, working tirelessly every day to make us a better, more creative agency.”

“We’ve had amazing growth, incredible talent and best of all, breakthrough creative ideas,” said Reyes. “I love my partners and I’m so proud of all the wonderful people who work here and have been a part of the success we’ve had. I’m excited to continue this journey into the future together.”

Reyes joined TBWA\Chiat\Day New York from Verizon, where she was VP of Marketing Creative, responsible for 360-degree creative product for the wireless business, which included advertising, retail and social marketing.

Prior to joining Verizon, she was Managing Director of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ New York office. The bulk of her advertising career was spent in GS&P’s San Francisco office, where she worked for 11 years on a variety of accounts, including Adobe, HP, Frito-Lay, Google and Comcast.

A graduate of Harvard University, Reyes began her career in New York City at Ogilvy & Mather and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles working on IBM, and Procter & Gamble brands, including Folgers, Pampers and Crest.
