Marvin Ellison is Executive Vice President of U.S. Stores for The Home Depot. In this role, he is responsible for driving sales, customer service and productivity across the company’s retail divisions; and overseeing operations of more than 1,976 stores and 300,000 employees in the U.S., Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since joining The Home Depot in 2002, Ellison has served in a variety of operational roles. Prior to his promotion to Executive Vice President in 2008, he was the Division President of the Northern Division. In this capacity, Ellison was responsible for the sales, profit, and operations of over 700 stores and 150,000 employees. This responsibility included driving over one third of the total sales volume of The Home Depot’s U.S. Stores.
Ellison serves on the board of directors for H&R Block where he is a member of their Compensation Committee. Ellison is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts including inner city school renovations and mentoring programs designed to develop inner city youth.
Ellison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Memphis, and a MBA from
Emory University.
