HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premier audio, infotainment and software services company, today announced that two-time NBA All-Star Stephen Curry (@StephenCurry30) has been named the newest Brand Ambassador for the company’s JBL audio brand. Curry has entered a multi-year partnership to collaborate with JBL in marketing and advertising efforts for the development of fan-centric integrated content and programs for social media and television. HARMAN is the official headphone, speaker and audio partner of the NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA Development League (NBA D-League), and USA Basketball, following the launch of a comprehensive multiyear marketing and licensing partnership in September 2014.
“Stephen is a one-of-a-kind player who cannot be defined by any one specific skillset and showcases tremendous talent in every aspect of the game. JBL brings the same spirit to audio, with innovation and leadership in user experience, design and technology,” said Ralph Santana, Chief Marketing Officer of HARMAN. “We have seen the marriage of music and sports, like those on https://www.roroblog.com/freecasino/, through popular culture and its impact on individuals in every walk of life. We are eager to collaborate with Stephen to bolster our brand while evolving and upgrading the experience for fans of music and sports through the lens of JBL.”
Entering the league six years ago as the seventh overall pick in the NBA Draft 2009 presented by State Farm, Curry quickly became one of the premier point guards in the league and continues to propel his game forward, recently breaking his own record for most three-point field goals made in a season, and winning the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest during NBA All-Star 2015 in New York City. His determination and extraordinary work ethic have led him to being widely considered a front-runner for the 2014-15 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award. Curry’s commitment to excelling in all facets of his basketball performance exemplifies JBL’s holistic approach to developing state-of-the-art audio products that push every boundary of innovation.
“Having a soundtrack is important in my game and my life – and uncompromised audio quality helps me take it to the next level when I think I’ve given my all,” said Curry. “I’m excited to be able to share that passion with my fans through JBL and influence fans everywhere to enjoy their music with the highest quality sound.”
Curry joins Damian Lillard as the second NBA player serving as an ambassador for JBL, and a roster of global brand representatives who partner with HARMAN, including GRAMMY® Award-winning rock bands Maroon 5 and Linkin Park; global musician, producer, artist and humanitarian Quincy Jones; Indian film composer, record producer, musician, singer and philanthropist AR Rahman; and international piano superstar and United Nations Messenger of Peace Lang Lang.
