Havas Creative North America Appoints Bria Bryant as Head of Communications
Strategic and results-driven communications leader enters new leadership role to elevate the creative network
Dedicated to creating a city-strong yet synergistic narrative across the creative network while building a diverse leadership team, Havas Creative North America has appointed Bria Bryant, former SVP at MSL, as head of communications.
An entrepreneurial business leader who has spent her career reinvigorating legacy brands through disruptive cross-channel executions that connect them to culture, delivering meaningful results at scale and driving record-breaking growth, Bryant brings more than 15 years of integrated public relations and brand building experience to the role.
As head of communications, Bryant will leverage the power of Vivendi to advance the reputation of Havas Creative North America and its people. She will be responsible for reinforcing fierce collaboration across—and leveraging the brilliance and capabilities of—the network, comprised of integrated Villages, boutique creative firms and specialty agencies.
“Bria’s multifaceted background, which combines extensive public relations expertise and an entrepreneurial passion, provides a fresh perspective to this role, which is equal parts shaping and amplifying our image, values and mission,” said Stephanie Nerlich, chief executive officer, Havas Creative North America. “Driving the creative reputation of Havas North America and our executive leaders is a key priority in our ambitious growth plan, and I can’t wait for Bria to take the reins.”
Bryant comes to Havas North America after eight years at MSL, where she most recently oversaw the award-winning Procter & Gamble Feminine Care portfolio and served as an active member of the agency’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and Strategy Center of Excellence. Prior to MSL, Bryant used her propensity for insights mining and strategy to identify barriers among multi-generational and multi-ethnic groups to develop successful campaigns for a variety of Fortune 500 companies through her work at Footsteps Group and Haute Behavior, a boutique experiential marketing and public relations agency she co-founded.
“Havas North America’s company ethos, ‘making a meaningful difference to brands, businesses and people,’ is what initially attracted me to Havas,” Bryant shared. “I’ve always believed that the four Rs—driving relevance through culture, building reputation through transparency, fostering deep relationships that build business and delivering meaningful communications that resonate—allow you to make real impact. Whether it’s clients, consumers or giving back to my community, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people I serve is what drives me and keeps me professionally and personally fulfilled. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join a company that shares that commitment.”
Bryant will report to Nerlich and is based out of New York City.
