Zuhairah Washington is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Expedia Group, the $17 billion publicly traded global travel technology company.
Prior to Expedia, Zuhairah was an early executive at Uber where she oversaw full people management and P&L responsibility, led the successful launches of uberX, uberPOOL and uberEATS and grew the core business to a $1B run rate.
Prior to Uber, Zuhairah was Founder & CEO of an innovative, vc-backed relationship startup. She sits on several non-profit boards and an active angel investor and venture partner advising high growth B2B and B2C companies.
Zuhairah is frequently sought out as a keynote speaker, panel expert and trusted source for informed perspectives on on-demand marketplaces, fintech, startups and diversity and inclusion.
Philanthropically, Zuhairah is deeply and actively committed to enhancing the availability of capital and entrepreneurial opportunities for women and in lowincome communities. She sits on the US nonprofit board of Accion, an organization that supports microfinance institutions in their work to provide financial services to low-income entrepreneurs. Zuhairah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UCLA, as well as a joint JD/MBA from Harvard.
