Yvette McGee Brown is the Partner-In- Charge of Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement for Jones Day, a global law firm with 43 offices around the world.

 

In this role, she leads the diversity strategy for the Firm and works with her Partners on recruiting, retention and advancement of diverse and women lawyers; advises and partners with clients on diversity initiatives; and supports efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession while maintaining an active litigation and appellate practice.

 

Yvette spent 11 years as a jurist, highlighted by her service as the first African American Woman Justice on the Ohio Supreme Court.

 

Since returning to private practice, she divides her time between initial trial court representation and appellate matters.

 

Yvette represents clients across a variety of industries and a range of difficult legal issues. She is recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America.

 

Yvette has served on several public company boards and is a director for Encova Insurance.

 

Yvette is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and has been inducted into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame.
