Wright L. Lassiter III is the Chief Executive Officer for CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. With approximately 150,000 employees and 35,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, CommonSpirit operates 162 hospitals and more than 2,250 care sites across 24 states.

Prior to serving as Chief Executive Officer of CommonSpirit Health, Wright was Chief Executive Officer of Henry Ford Health in Detroit and previously Alameda Health System in Oakland, CA.

Wright is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Hospital Association, where he plays a key role in advancing the priorities of hospitals across the country, and was a past chair of America’s Essential Hospitals.

Originally from Tuskegee, AL, Wright received his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University. Wright completed his Bachelor’s degree with honors in Chemistry from Le Moyne, a Jesuit college in upstate New York.
