Vincent H. Cohen, Jr.,, the former acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, is a Partner in the White Collar and Securities group at Dechert LLP. Cohen focuses on high-stakes litigation on behalf of individuals and corporations. As an experienced trial lawyer and investigator, he represents clients in sensitive government and internal investigations, government enforcement matters, and complex civil and criminal litigation on a domestic and international scale.
Cohen has been consistently recognized for his professional accomplishments. Recently, he was named one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in American by Lawdragon.
Cohen, who leads Dechert’s Black Affinity Group, has worked to promote and safeguard a comprehensive commitment to diversity since he joined Dechert. He has also received the Director’s Award from the United States Secret Service for his contribution and commitment to the principles of responsible law enforcement. Walker Memorial Baptist Church recognized him with the Public Service and Humanitarian Award.
Cohen was recently elected to the Board of Governors for the Washington Bar Association Lawyers committee for the Innocence Project, and he has served as General Counsel and remains an active member of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
