Veronica Jordan is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Simon & Schuster, Inc. She oversees the company’s legal affairs globally. Jordan has provided counsel on myriad ground-breaking projects, from the launch of the company’s website to playing a key role in the success of the company’s ventures into digital publishing, e-commerce and digital marketing, including recently the launch of its Pimsleur language subscription service. She has been its in-house advisor on the complex and ever-evolving privacy landscape. She is CIPP/US certified.
Before joining Simon & Schuster, Jordan was an associate with Davis Polk & Wardwell and clerked for the Honorable Stanley S. Brotman, U.S. District Court (U.S.V.I.).
Passionate about literacy and the empowerment of girls from underserved communities, Jordan served on the Board of Directors of the non-profits Girl Be Heard and The Ruth Turner Fund, respectively. Career highlights include leading the team that defeated the attempt to block publication of Mary Trump’s book Too Much And Never Enough and working with the team that defeated the Trump administration’s attempt to block John Bolton’s The Room Where It Happened.
Jordan is a graduate of NYU School of Law and Amherst College.
