Veronica Jones is the Chief Procurement Officer at Gilead Sciences.
In this role, Veronica’s responsibilities are focused on transforming how Gilead develops and manages strategic supplier relationships. Most importantly, she will be responsible for re-defining the user experience by creating and delivering an innovative Procurement technology roadmap, a strategic plan which leverages Gilead’s enterprise-wide buying power and collaborating across the business to achieve a best-in-class Supplier Inclusion program.
Prior to Gilead, Veronica led the strategic development of Indirect Procurement for Google Cloud where she defined and launched the Procurement Business Partnering strategy to support the complex and fast evolving cloud technology business strategy.
Before Google, Jones held various roles in Procurement with Genentech, a subsidiary of Roche Pharmaceuticals as well as serving as Vice President of Site Services.
Jones recently served as Board President for the Urban Ed Academy, which mentors young boys in the San Francisco Bayview area.
Jones received her MBA from the University of San Francisco, and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the California State University, Hayward.
