Trisch Smith is the Global Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at Edelman, a top global communications agency.
With a focus on colleagues, clients, and communities, Trisch guides DEI strategy and initiatives, including DEI planning, partnerships, diversity recruitment, learning and development, and more. She works with colleagues globally to foster an equitable and inclusive workplace, including establishing the firm’s employee networks, achieving gender parity in leadership, and increasing racial workforce diversity.
Additionally, Trisch provides senior strategic counsel around DEI and multicultural communications for several clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations and non-profits to associations and universities.
Trisch serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Council and the Board of Advocates of the Women’s National Basketball Players Association. Trisch was named PR Week’s 2022 Women of Distinction class in 2022, and the inaugural Adweek/ADCOLOR Champions award for D&I in 2019.
Trisch earned a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Morgan State University.
