Terry Thomas is Senior Vice President of Customer Development for Unilever plc. In this role, he is responsible for NSV, NIP, share and profitability for the Unilever East Sector in the US. The Sector turnover value is $2.3 billion.
Thomas’ current focus areas include People: valuating 100+ CD organization ensuring the right gender and ethnic mix as well as high-potential composition required to deliver East Sector’s ambition; Processes: implementing core people planning, joint business planning, and cross functional ways of working processes for East sector and total US Customer development); and Execution: embedding the 6 P’s (Product, Placement, Price, Proposition, Promotion) as the end-to-end method of execution within the East Sector.
Prior to joining Unilever, Thomas spent 13 years with PepsiCo. He departed as the VP/GM for PepsiCo’s Small Format business, which included Drug, Value, Convenience and Gas Channels, as well as Global 7-Eleven. Prior to joining Frito-Lay, he worked for Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola Company.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, where he majored in Economics and played football. He also has an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
