Tamika Jean-Baptiste is Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Amgen, where she’s responsible for developing, operationalizing, and evaluating the execution of DEI strategies and initiatives.
Throughout her 21-year career at Amgen, Jean-Baptiste has earned a reputation as a “change agent” by challenging the status quo. She was an integral part of the leadership team that launched the first field-based Employee Resource Group (ERG) Women Empowered to be Exceptional (WE2), which is now a model for Amgen’s other field-based ERGs.
Under Jean-Baptiste’s leadership, Amgen has repeatedly been acknowledged for its diversity and inclusion efforts on the Forbes list of the “Best Employers for Diversity” and “Best Employers for Women.” Jean-Baptiste is cultivating an inclusive workplace culture of belonging and facilitating equitable and sustainable change that drives business and social impact.
Jean-Baptiste serves on the TRIUM DEI Council and on the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Global Board of Directors.
Jean-Baptiste received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University and Global Executive MBA from TRIUM (jointly issued by NYU, London School of Economics, HEC Paris).
