Sylvia A. Stein is the Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of Modine Manufacturing Company, a global public company, which specializes in thermal management systems and components for diversified global markets.
In this role, Stein has responsibility for the Legal, Compliance and Intellectual Property functions, leading a global team of lawyers, compliance, and legal professionals. She also advises Modine’s senior management team, supports the Board of Directors, and manages corporate securities, legal, regulatory, and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Modine, Stein was in-house counsel at Kraft Foods/The Kraft Heinz Foods Company, most recently serving as the Associate General Counsel, Marketing & Regulatory. Earlier in her career, Stein practiced at Latham & Watkins in the Complex Commercial Litigation group. Prior to that, she served as a federal district court law clerk to the Honorable Ann C. Williams.
Stein received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a member of the Michigan Law Review. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
