Steven C. Mizell is Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer of Merck & Co., Inc.
In this role, Mizell has responsibility for all aspects of human resources for over 68,000 employees worldwide.
Mizell joined Merck in 2018 from Monsanto, where he oversaw the company’s approach to talent acquisition and development, employee wellness as well as diversity and inclusion. He joined Monsanto as Senior Vice President, Human Resources in 2004, and was Executive Vice President, Human Resources from 2007 to 2018.
Previously, Mizell was Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Resources Officer of AdvancePCS. Recognized as one of St. Louis’ most influential diverse business leader, Mizell also held key human resources management roles at companies across the energy, defense, beverage and technology sectors.
Mizell holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MS in Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
