Stephen Harris is President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.

Stephen has expanded access to affordable care, controlled rising health care costs, and introduced new technologies that improve patient outcomes.
Stephen has been in leadership roles for more than two decades, working to improve the value of each dollar spent by members on health care.
Stephen is focused on improving health equity and building alliances that improve the member experience.
Stephen is a certified public accountant and serves on the board of directors for Solera Health and Michigan State School of Business.
Stephen is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and was recognized in 2021 by Chicago United as a Business Leader of Color.
Stephen earned a B.A. degree from Michigan State University and MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
