Stayce D. Harris was Inspector General of the Air Force.
A retired United States Air Force Reserve Lieutenant General, Harris previously was the Assistant Vice Chief of Staff and Director, Air Staff, Headquarters United States Air Force. Harris made history becoming the first African American woman to command an Air Force operational flying squadron, wing and numbered Air Force and was the first woman Inspector General of the Air Force.
Harris is an experienced Boeing 747 pilot, with over 10,000 flight hours safely transporting passengers and cargo worldwide for United Airlines. She was a pilot with United Airlines for nearly 30 years before retiring from the company in 2020.
Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
