Shundrawn A. Thomas serves as President of Northern Trust Asset Management and is a member of the Management Group of Northern Trust Corporation, a leading provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking to corporations, institutions, affluent families and individuals.
His previous executive roles include Head of Funds and Managed Accounts, Head of Exchange Traded Funds, President of Northern Trust Securities and Head of Corporate Strategy.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Thomas served as a Vice President in the equities division of Goldman Sachs. He was also previously employed with Morgan Stanley, holding positions in fixed income sales, trading and research.
Thomas is highly respected by professional colleagues and industry leaders. Thomas is a soughtafter speaker, media commentator and the author of four books.
Thomas serves as a board governor for the Investment Company Institute. He also serves as a trustee for Wheaton College, Rush University Medical Center and the Museum of Science & Industry, Chicago.
Thomas received a B.S. degree in accounting from Florida A&M University and a MBA degree from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
