Shantella E. Cooper is Executive Director of the Atlanta Committee for Progress. In this role, which she has held since January 2019, Cooper provides leadership on key issues relating to economic growth and inclusion in Atlanta.
Previously, Cooper was Chief Transformation Officer for WestRock Company and was responsible for the Recycling and Waste Services Division, Procurement, Enterprise Logistics and Information Technology.
Prior to joining WestRock, Cooper was VP and General Manager of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. Cooper oversaw the 6,000-employee operation responsible for designing, producing, modifying and maintaining military aircraft for the US and countries around the world.
Cooper holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Religion from Emory University and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. She is also a graduate of the Rutgers University Executive Masters in Global Human Resource Leadership Program.
