Ronald L. Thompson was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Stamping and Manufacturing Company, a specialty manufacturer of defense and railroad equipment. Thompson acquired Midwest’s predecessor The GR Group, in 1980. Thompson successfully sold the company he built with vision and determination to a first tier supplier.
Prior to acquiring Midwest Stamping, Thompson had an extensive leadership career. Thompson was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Evaluation Technologies, Inc., a professional and technical services firm.
Thompson served on the faculties of Old Dominion University, Virginia State University, and the University of Michigan. Thompson serves on the Board of Trustees of Washington University in St. Louis and the Medical University of South Carolina Foundation.
Thompson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and a Doctor of Philosophy from
Michigan State University.
