Ronald J. Adams is the Vice President – Career Distribution for Northwestern Mutual.
In this role, Adams is focused on developing and delivering core components of the overall field talent and performance strategy to ensure our industry-leading field force is strong, diverse, and vibrant.
Adams also leads the team responsible for the creation and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies; co-chairs Northwestern Mutual’s D&I Corporate Committee; and is a member of the CEO-led Task Force for Sustained Action for Racial Equity.
Adams is the founding board president for the Sherman Phoenix Foundation, established to leverage the efforts of the Sherman Phoenix to uplift, engage and transform Milwaukee.
Adams was a key advisor for the African American Leadership Program and African American Leadership Alliance Milwaukee. He serves as a member of the advisory committee and mentor for the MKE Fellows, a program creating a pipeline of African American male college graduates ready to return to Wisconsin to excel in their careers, build wealth, and become engaged leaders.
Adams is also a recipient of the Army’s General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, the NAACP Roy Wilkins Renown National Service Award, and numerous military awards and decorations.
