Ron Frieson leads all fundraising efforts in support of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, including annual gifts, major and legacy gifts, corporate partnerships, grant development, endowment enhancement and special events. Children’s is a not-for-profit pediatric healthcare system that is among the leading pediatric hospitals in the nation.
He also focuses on expanding and developing new opportunities within the broad vision of leading community outreach and legislative efforts to ensure Children’s is an important voice in the critical national dialogue around caring for kids.
Ron served in several key positions for AT&T, including President of Georgia Operations and the organization’s first Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer. He also served in an interim role as President of the Atlanta Urban League.
Ron is active within the community, serving as a board member for several organizations, including Children’s Miracle Network, Colorado Technical University, Truist Bank-Atlanta, The Woodmark Group and Zoo Atlanta. Additionally, Ron is past Chair of the National Trustees of the American Kidney Fund.
Ron earned a Master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Tennessee.
