Robert E. Long is Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of The Coca-Cola Company since March 2017. Robert joined The Coca-Cola Company in April 2004 as Vice President, Global Packaging Platforms.

In October 2007, he assumed responsibility for Japan R&D in Tokyo and returned to the US in 2010 to lead R&D for Coca-Cola North America (CCNA). In 2012, he assumed additional responsibility in North America for Quality, Environment, Safety and Scientific & Regulatory Affairs.

Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Robert worked in R&D at Procter & Gamble (P&G). He worked in Cincinnati, Baltimore, Venezuela and Germany; with roles in Laundry & Cleaning Products, Cosmetics, Paper Products and Folgers Coffee.

Robert attended Princeton University, graduating with a Chemical Engineering degree. He obtained an Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Xavier University of Ohio. Robert grew up in Washington, DC and graduated from Woodberry Forest High School.
