Robert Befidi, Jr. is President of 3M’s Separation and Purification Sciences Division (SPSD) – a global filtration technology leader with more than $1 billion in sales to B2B and B2C customers, including industrial, electronics, biopharmaceutical, medical devices, water, utilities and beverage manufacturers.
Befidi is an entrepreneurial business builder and global transformational executive with experience in emerging growth and FORTUNE 100 companies.
With much of his 25+ years of experience in healthcare and technology-enabled sectors, Befidi has held CEO, President, General Partner and Senior Executive roles in strategy, marketing, sales, business development, M&A, private equity, digital transformation, consulting and software engineering.
Prior to his role as SPSD President, Befidi, was Commercial Leader for the $4.5 billion 3M Medical Solutions Division; and led Strategy, M&A, and was Chief Marketing Officer for the $7 billion 3M Health Care Business Group. Befidi, Jr. serves on the board of the Regions Hospital Foundation.
Befidi holds an MBA with Honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Computer Science, summa cum laude, from Winona State University.
