Robert Befidi, Jr. is Vice President of the 3M Separation and Purification Sciences Division, which provides industry-leading separation and purification solutions to customers in several markets, including: biopharmaceutical, medical device, microelectronics, oil and gas, industrial, food services and residential water. In this role, he has global responsibility for the division’s P&L, strategy, business operations and sales in more than 70 countries.
Previously at 3M, Befidi led global solutions for the Medical Solutions Division, was Chief Marketing Officer and led Strategy and Business Development for the Health Care Business Group.
Prior to 3M, his roles have included Founder, General Partner and CEO, as well as functional leadership for marketing, strategy, business development, M&A, consulting and software engineering. His industry experience spans healthcare, industrial, private equity, technology, insurance and human resources.
Befidi is a Board Director at the Minnesota Children’s Museum and at the Regions Hospital Foundation. He serves as President of the Wharton Club of Minnesota.
Befidi holds an MBA with Honors from the Wharton School, an M.S. in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Computer Science, summa cum laude, from Winona State University.
