Rich Alleyne serves as Chief Legal Officer of Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. where he is responsible for managing the legal and compliance operations at Munich Re’s U.S. primary insurance and reinsurance companies.
Before joining Munich Re, Rich was Deputy General Counsel at The Hartford where he was responsible for managing the Business Law group, which supported The Hartford’s insurance businesses.
Prior to The Hartford, he was General Counsel for a division of a Global Insurance Company, QBE Insurance Group, where he oversaw legal operations for its specialty and reinsurance companies in the Americas.
In 2014, he was awarded a patent as the inventor of an insurance product designed to mitigate risks associated with catastrophic events. In 2018, Rich was named Corporate Leader of the Year by the National African American Insurance Association.
Rich has served on numerous non-profit boards including St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, The Amistad Center for Art & Culture, Student Achievement Through Opportunity (SATO), and Hartford Stage.
