Rhonda Brandon is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Duke Health. In her role, Brandon oversees efforts to advance a world-class workforce, positioning Duke University Health System to meet its long-term strategic goals, and driving key initiatives to enhance the organization’s culture and overall performance.
Brandon offers trusted counsel to senior staff, advocating on behalf of all staff and providers, ensuring the primary mission is achieved to care for Duke’s patients, their loved ones and each other.
Before joining Duke Health, Brandon was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, MO. She joined BJC Healthcare in 2006 as Vice President of Human Resources at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and was named Vice President of Operations for BJC’s Shared Services Human Resources team in 2010.
Brandon is a member of the Advisory Board of SunTrust Bank in the Central Carolina Region. She also served as Chairwoman of the YWCA, Metro St. Louis in Missouri and Vice Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Eastern Missouri.
Brandon holds a BS in Mass Communications Hampton University and a MS in Organization Development American University.
