Portia Moore is an accomplished trial litigator, former assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington, and an equity partner within Davis Wright Tremaine LLP’s Employment Services Group. A graduate of University of Michigan Law School, Portia has practiced complex litigation for over 37 years, with an emphasis on defending clients against wrongful termination and race and sex discrimination claims. Further, with an undergraduate degree in nursing, Portia has a special and unique knowledge of the healthcare arena.

Moore holds a number of leadership roles at Davis Wright Tremaine, including the firm’s Diversity Executive Counsel. She is also a member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Western Regional Program, the Loren Miller Bar Association, the DirectWomen Board Institute, and the National Bar Association’s Committee on Diversity.

Moore has received numerous awards, including Davis Wright Tremaine’s Edward J. Davis Diversity & Mentorship Award, and has been selected to The Best Lawyers’ list of “Women of Influence,” and to the “National Black Lawyers – Top 100” (Washington). Moore has also been recognized by the National Diversity Council on its list of “Washington Most Powerful and Influential Women.”
