Patricia A. Maryland served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Ascension Healthcare. Prior to Ascension, Maryland served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of St. John Providence Health System, Warren, Michigan.
Maryland was named one of the Top 25 COOs in Healthcare in 2017, one of the Top 25 Women in Healthcare in 2017 and 2015 by the publication Modern Healthcare, Woman of the Year in 2014 by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, and one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare also in 2014.
Maryland received a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Alabama State University, Montgomery, and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley. She holds a Doctorate of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh, concentrating in health services administration and planning.
