Nakia M. Clements is the Vice President of Consumer Marketing & Brand for WE tv at AMC Networks. In this role, Clements’ responsibilities include leading strategy, development and implementation of creative, innovation and consumer marketing initiatives in support of WE tv’s original programming.

 

Since joining WE tv, she has overseen the marketing and launch of new seasons of hit shows like Braxton Family Values, the Growing Up Hip Hop franchise and fastest-growing unscripted cable docuseries to date, Love After Lockup. Clements is also the Executive Champion for the AMC Networks’ African American employee resource group recognized as V.I.B.E (Vested Interest in Black Employees).

 

Prior to joining WE tv at AMC Networks, Clements spent 20 successful years in the agency world devising and leading media strategies for Fortune 500 companies, such as Walmart, CVS Health, Bank of America, Pfizer, Kohl’s, Coca-Cola and MARS.

 

In her spare time, Clements is a mentor to many young media and marketing professionals of color and spent four years as a board member of St. Mark The Evangelist School, the first school to serve African Americans in historic Harlem.

 

Clements acquired her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College.
