Myrtle Jones is Senior Vice President of Tax for Halliburton, one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the energy industry.
In this role, Jones is responsible for managing the company’s global tax affairs in over 80 countries. In addition to her tax management responsibilities,
she serves as the executive sponsor of Halliburton’s African-American Network Forum, sits on the executive advisory board of their Women’s Sharing Excellence group and chairs the Finance Department’s Mentoring Committee.
Jones is active in the community in Houston and serves on Prairie View University’s School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board and on the Board of
Directors of Genesys Works Houston where she has chaired the Development Committee for the past three years. Jones is also a member of the Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team and chaired the Sisters Network Inc. 2016 “Stop the Silence” breast cancer walk.
Jones is the recipient of numerous awards including being named Houston’s Woman of the Year in 2016 by the National Women’s Council.
Jones holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
