Morris R. Clark is Vice President and Treasurer of Marathon Oil Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for managing all Treasury-related matters, including Corporate Finance, Cash & Banking/Operations, Insurance, Pensions, Enterprise Risk Management, and Credit & Counterparty Risk.

 

More specifically, Clark’s responsibilities include managing the corporate capital structure, foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, financing related to all M&A and joint venture activity, managing corporate bank and rating agency relationships, corporate investment decisions, corporate and subsidiary financing/liquidity decisions, managing the corporate debt portfolio, and Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank compliance.

 

Prior to Marathon Oil, Clark served as Senior Tax Counsel at Enron North America and as a Tax Attorney at Bracewell & Patterson.

 

Clark serves on the Board of Directors for University of St. Thomas, Dress for Success Houston and the United Negro College Fund. He is also an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

 

Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University (magna cum laude), a Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School (cum laude) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law.
