Monya M. Bunch serves as WilmerHale’s Director of Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI). She partners with senior management firmwide to provide thought leadership, guide organizational structure, develop programming, and instill the culture to support both DEI and business objectives.
Monya brings to the table extensive strategic prowess and has made valued improvements at WilmerHale. She has cultivated and fostered relationships with women and diverse attorneys in the firm through open engagement, candid feedback, and advocacy.
Monya’s legal background includes over ten years of private law firm practice, in addition to serving as in-house counsel at a brokerage services firm and an adjunct professor at Howard University School of Law and the University of Maryland. She also clerked for the Honorable Damon J. Keith, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Monya earned a J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Howard Law Journal, a graduate degree from the University of Hartford and an undergraduate degree from Hampton University. She received Georgetown University’s Executive Certificate in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management and is an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator.
