Mike James is Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at NFP.
In this role, Mike responsibilities include expanding opportunities with clients through integrated sales initiatives that leverage NFP’s growing expertise and capabilities across regions, business lines and solutions.
Mike drives the strategic direction of NFP’s sales organization, cultivating a competitive edge that increases the company’s market share, revenue and brand awareness.
Mike also serves as a special advisor to the NFP board on race issues, facilitating learning, refining strategy, and collaborating with NFP’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer to advance DEIB efforts.

Mike is an active participant in a variety of industry and community organizations, including Finseca, Suffolk University, The American College of Financial Services, LL Global, the nonprofit parent company for LIMRA and LOMA, Nationwide’s Financial Alliance for Racial Equity, the No Books No Ball Basketball Program and the Roxbury YMCA.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from American International College.
