Melvin T. Stith was Dean of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University from 2005 until July 2013. Prior to that, Stith was the Dean Emeritus and Jim Moran Professor of Business Administration at Florida State University for thirteen years.
Stith has been a Professor of Marketing and Business since 1977, after having served in the U.S.
Army Military Intelligence Command and achieving the rank of Captain. Stith brings exceptional leadership skills and consensus building models to his positions and his community endeavors. Stith expertise in executive management and risk management makes him a well sought after presenter within academia and corporate America.
Stith currently serves on JM Family Enterprises, Youth Automotive Training Center and the Jim Moran Foundation.
Stith holds a Bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State College; an MBA degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Marketing from Syracuse University.
