Matt Henson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Monro, Inc., the leading automotive service and tire provider in the United States with 1,305 stores.
In this role, Henson leads the company’s human resources functions for more than 8,200 teammates. His leadership emphasizes talent acquisition and management, field-focused employee relations, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and improving the teammate experience.
Prior to Monro, Henson was the Vice President of Field Human Resources at AutoZone where he led the human resources function supporting more than 6,500 locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Brazil. He transformed talent acquisition and improved hiring competitiveness and retention. As a result, AutoZone was recognized as a “Forbes Best Employer.”
Henson also held key human resources management roles for Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. (Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill), Dell Inc., Cendant/NRT, and Kmart Corporation as part of his 30-year tenure as a human resource leader.
Henson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from Norfolk State University.
