Marvin Boakye is the Chief People and Diversity Officer for Papa John’s International, based in Atlanta. Since 2019, he has led the global restaurant company’s human resources and DEI practices for 17,000 corporate and 120,000 franchise team members across 5,500+ restaurants in 50 countries.
In both 2021 and 2022, Papa Johns was honored by Forbes Magazine on its “Best Employers for Diversity” list.
Prior to joining Papa Johns, Marvin served as Chief HR Officer and in other senior HR leadership roles for companies including MTS Allstream, Andeavor, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, The Pulte Group and The Home Depot.
A global leader specializing in organizational and cultural transformations, Boakye has successfully helped businesses transition from turnaround to growth.
Active in the community, Boakye also sits on the Board of Advisors for the University of Louisville’s School of Business and is a National Trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Boakye earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Conflict Resolution Studies from the University of Winnipeg and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.
