Marty R. Dunn is a Partner in Dinsmore & Shohl’s Corporate and Finance Departments, Member of its Board of Directors and Diversity Committee Chair. Marty has represented clients in the acquisition, sale, lease, development and construction of commercial real estate properties, including major healthcare facilities, office complexes and shopping centers. He has also represented lenders and developers in fi nance transactions, many involving New Markets, Historic or Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
Earlier in his career, Marty served as the partner-in-charge for the Cincinnati office of a statewide law fi rm, making him the first African-American managing partner of a law firm in Cincinnati. Additional distinctions include The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law; Ohio Super Lawyers; and Savoy magazine’s Most Influential Black Attorneys.
Marty’s professional affiliations include United Way/American Red Cross Partnership Committee, Member; National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Board of Directors and Past Presiding Cochair; Greater Cincinnati Minority Counsel Program, Board of Directors; and Metropolitan Club, Past Chair, former member of the Board of Governors. Marty earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.S. from Northwestern University.
