Marlon Sullivan is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. In this capacity, he is responsible for all elements of the employee experience for Johnson Controls’ 100,000 employees, including continued strengthening of talent acquisition and retention, leadership development, DE&I, total rewards, learning and development, and the company’s HR solutions and services functions. As CHRO, he also continues the critical work underway to build enhanced digital and core automation into the function.
Sullivan brings a wealth of experience to this role and joined Johnson Controls from Delta Air Lines, where he was Senior Vice President – Human Resources. Previously, Sullivan held various Vice President level roles in HR with Abbott Laboratories and was a Senior Director with The Home Depot. During his several years of service with these companies, Sullivan held responsibilities in the areas of Total Rewards, HR M&A, HR Technology, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partner.
Sullivan started his career with McKinsey & Company, where he was a business consultant for several years.
Sullivan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance from Morehouse College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
