Lynnette D. Espy-Williams is a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Commercial Litigation Department and the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer. She has a national practice representing a wide variety of clients in complex litigation. Specifically, she focuses her practice on litigating matters pertaining to mass and complex torts, premises liability, products liability, contract disputes, and extracontractual disputes, including defending bad faith claims.
Espy-Williams provides strategic counsel to clients and has extensive experience in defending many high-exposure liability matters. Her experience in the commercial litigation industry is widely recognized. She has acted as lead counsel in many complex commercial litigation matters and routinely speaks on issues of import in the industry.
Espy-Williams has been selected as a Georgia Rising Star from 2012-2015 and is a member of LEAD Atlanta, the Young Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar of Georgia’s Leadership Academy, and Outstanding Atlanta. She was also honored by IMPACT and the National Bar Association by receiving the Nation’s Best Advocates: 40 Lawyers Under 40 award and the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 award. Espy-Williams is a graduate of Spelman College and the University of Maryland Law School.
