Lorna Wisham is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Community Involvement for FirstEnergy Corp. Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, FirstEnergy’s 10 electric distribution companies form one of the nation’s largest investor owned electric systems serving 6 million customers in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.

 

Wisham is also President of the FirstEnergy Foundation, which awards grants to qualified not-for-profit, tax-exempt organizations. In this role, she is responsible for community giving and engagement initiatives, employee volunteerism, and community board placements for executives.

 

Wisham most recently held the position of Senior Advisor, Federal Affairs for FirstEnergy, lobbying the U.S. Congress on a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from utility operations and cybersecurity to regulatory and environmental issues.

 

Wisham has served on numerous boards, including the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. She continues to serve as a director on the boards of the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation and the United Way of Greater Cleveland, and as a trustee for University Hospitals.

 

Wisham received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Organizational Communication from The University of Akron and a Master’s degree in Public Communication from American University.
