Lilicia Bailey is the Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer for Wake Forest Baptist Health, Wake Forest School of Medicine and Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the institution employs 20,000 people in a unique, integrated learning health system well known for its research, innovation and service to populations in need.
Bailey reports to the CEO/Dean and is the Chief People Advisor to the CEO’s Council and the Medical Center Board of Directors. She is leading the transformation of Human Resources to deliver strategic advice as well as vital services.
Previously, Bailey held CHRO roles in various industries in companies both public and private.
Bailey has advised leaders and led teams that guided organizations to transform their culture and make organization-wide change. An executive leader with great depth and breadth, Bailey has created inspiring vision and strategies that guided HR teams and led to the achievement of strategic organizational goals.
Bailey holds an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University, an MA in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School and a BA from Spelman College. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change from Pepperdine University.
