Lilicia Bailey is Senior Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer for CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. With approximately 175,000 employees and 25,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, CommonSpirit operates 140 hospitals and more than 2,200 care centers serving sites across 24 states.
As CommonSpirit’s Chief People Officer, Bailey develops effective, sustainable and transformative human capital strategies to enable growth and invigorate efforts to solidify the ministry’s culture of engagement, innovation and accountability.
With more than 20 years of human capital leadership experience, Bailey brings significant experience in elevating organizational effectiveness measures that enhance people practices in support of businesses and their missions to her role at CommonSpirit Health.
Prior to joining CommonSpirit Health in 2023, Bailey served as the Chief People Officer at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. She has also held human resources leadership positions at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Belk and Cox Enterprises.
Bailey holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Global Leadership & Change from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College.
