Lia Dorsey serves as the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.
In this role, Dorsey is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy. Dorsey collaborates with firm leaders to expand and advance efforts in recruiting, developing, promoting, and retaining diverse talent.
Dorsey has experience in strategic change management, organizational development, and several talent management disciplines including leadership development, training, coaching, and business development.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Dorsey served as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Dentons US LLP. She also held senior positions at Eversheds Sutherland US LLP, DLA Piper LLP, and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
Dorsey is a thought leader in the movement to advance diversity and a driver for inclusive change.
Dorsey is President Emeritus of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals and is recognized as one of the Top 100 Women Leaders in Law of 2021 by Women We Admire. Dorsey is a frequent presenter and panelist on topics covering DEI in Big Law and the greater legal industry.
